Daniel Law - President

Daniel Law is Assistant Company Secretary / Legal Counsel at Woodside Petroleum.
Prior to joining Woodside Daniel was a Commercial Manager at Toll Logistics where his portfolio of responsibilities included legal, governance, compliance, insurance, property and corporate and strategic development matters. Daniel has also held the role of Solicitor at Mallesons Stephen Jaques, specialising in corporate and commercial law. Daniel is also a graduate member of the AICD and the Financial Services Institute of Australasia and a member of the West Australian Chinese Chamber of Commerce. Dedicated to the prosperity of YMCA Perth, Daniel finds time to not only fill the shoes of Vice President, but also those of Company Secretary

Jamin Hirte - Vice President

Jamin is General Manager Distribution at the RAC. He has over 20 years of experience with a strong emphasis on financial discipline and people empowerment. Jamin holds a Bachelor of Commerce and Finance from Curtin University and has completed an Executive Masters of Business Administration at UWA. His strengths lie with corporate strategy, performance management, mbusiness intelligence, marketing and operational management. We welcome him to his first year with on the Board of Directors of YMCA Perth.

Debbie Millard - Treasurer

Debbie has been Chief Financial Officer & Company Secretary at JWH Group Pty Ltd since 2008. Prior to this appointment she held the position of Finance & Administration Manager since 2003. Debbie is not only a well respected Chartered Accountant but also a Fellow of Leadership Western Australia 2009. She has also recently qualified as GAICD. Debbie studied at Oxford University, and is keen fan of the great outdoors. We welcome Debbie to her first year as Treasurer of YMCA Perth and look forward to her sound guidance on all financial matters.

Karen Carriero

Karen is the Director of Marketing at Curtin University. She has a wealth of experience in marketing, public relations, strategic planning and sales. Karen advises YMCA Perth on a broad range of topics including brand strategy, marketing, and corporate communications. Her senior management experience was gained working for the RAC, Commonwealth Bank and BankWest. Aside from a Masters degree in Leadership and Management, Karen is also a graduate member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Bruce Porter

Bruce’s involvement with the YMCA dates back to 1965, when as young boy he attended YMCA gymnastics and later the YMCA’s leaders club. Bruce enjoyed many YMCA camping experiences both as a camper and a camp leader. Bruce runs his own property and investment consultancy business and is a licensed real estate valuer and property agent.

Brad Wylynko

Brad Wylynko leads Clayton Utz's Western Australian Environment and Planning team. Brad has over 18 years' experience in practising and has advised on complex mergers and acquisitions, large financings, insolvency, property transactions, and licensing and regulatory issues. Additionally, Brad has been involved in the first sale of voluntary emission credits in WA, assisting the Department of Climate Change in drafting legislative for the Carbon Reduction Pollution Scheme.
Brad regularly appears in various levels of the courts and tribunals and lectures extensively on environmental and planning law. Brad has been listed in Chambers Global, as a leading planning & environment lawyer since 2007. He has also been listed as one of Australia's Best Lawyers since 2009.

Marco Schultheis

Marco is the Executive Director of the Office of Strategy and Planning at Curtin University.
Marco has over fifteen years experience in strategic management, and extensive experience in marketing, branding, finance and lecturing.
Between 1995 and 2002 Marco held a number of Senior Management roles at Curtin University. From 2002 to 2007 he then worked for the university at a Director level, across Strategic Planning & Quality and Marketing & Alumni. This includes 6 months as Acting Vice-President – Corporate Relations & Development in 2010.
Marco is currently completing his Doctor of Business Administration, and holds a Master of Strategic Marketing and a Bachelor of Commerce.

Holly Ransom

Holly Ransom is a twenty-one year old UWA Law and Economics student. At 18 years of age, Holly was selected to attend the 2020 Summit.. Two of her ideas regarding voting enrolment were adopted into a government Green Paper on Electoral Reform.
Holly is the Director of ‘Level Up Leadership’; a Director of ‘Women Who Lead’, a not-for-profit initiative Holly founded in 2009; and the President-Elect at the Rotary Club of Crawley. In July 2012 she will become the youngest ever Rotary President.
Holly is also the Co-Founder and Inaugural Vice-President of the UWA Enterprise and Consulting Society and is the first young person to be appointed to the Western Australian Government’s Women’s Advisory Council. In 2010, she interned with the Inspire Foundation where she wrote the organisation’s WA Youth Engagement Strategy.

Kathryn Sydney-Smith

Kathryn is currently the Practice Manager for Coakes Consulting, who specialise in social impact assessments and community consultation.
Kathryn was the inaugural Campaign Manager for Smarter than Smoking for five years.
In 2000 Kathryn joined the Starlight Children’s Foundation as the Development Manager. Here she was responsible for the organisations corporate partnerships, events, community engagement and communications strategy in Victoria, South Australia and Tasmania. In 2003 she took on her first senior leadership role as Executive Director for the Barwon Health Foundation.
Kathryn then went on to become CEO for the Western Australian Community Foundation. She spent three years developing the Foundation.
Kathryn holds a Masters in Marketing, a Masters in Physical and Health Education and a Bachelor of Science. Kathryn is a former Director on the Committee for Perth, a role she held for 3 years.
