Boronia Women's Prison
The YMCA Boronia Program provides a fun, welcoming environment for children visiting those who reside within Boronia Women’s Pre Release Centre. The service is staffed by volunteers and YMCA representatives.
The Boronia Program aims to redress some of the issues faced by children and young people whose mothers are incarcerated. The program aims to enhance and provide opportunity for mother and child bonding through family-focused recreation activities both within Boronia and during visit times.
