HQ Leederville
Youth HQ is a thriving youth and cultural development centre. It provides a fun, safe, recreational and artistic environment for young people whilst offering support and opportunities to grow, through the avenues of counselling, training and individual support.
The core business of HQ is providing support, leadership opportunities and recreation/leisure services to young people. This can take the form of:
- Skate boarding
- Music – live performance, recordings and opportunities for young new bands
- Video and multimedia programs
- Art and graphic design programs
- Carpentry and gardening
- Information technology access
- Web site design and maintenance programs
- Catering opportunities
- Artistic and business management opportunities
- Youth parliament
Alongside these programs YMCA HQ also provides social welfare and community awareness interventions through the following programs:
- Youth Pathways
- Lynks Counselling
- Streetsyde Emergency Accommodation
- Big Brothers Big Sisters
- Local Community Partnership
- Funded community awareness programs
